Student of the Week
Each week we will be selecting a student to be the "Student of the Week."  We will spend time each day doing a learning activity that can be sent home with the "Student of the Week" on Fridays.
I will send a note home on Friday before their week starts as well as posting the student's name on the board.  This child may bring something that is special to him/her on Friday to show and explain to the class.  Please no animals.
This Weeks Student is Matthew

I'll post the answers on the "Class Bulletin Board" page.

Meet the Challenge!

grocery bags full of fruit

Fran, Gus, Harry, and Kim bought 3 bags of fruit each.

  • Fran bought 2 bags of apples and one bag of oranges.
  • Gus bought the same number of oranges as Fran, and the rest of the fruit he bought were peaches.
  • Harry got the same kinds of fruit as Fran but a different number of each fruit.
  • Kim chose fruit that no one else bought. She bought two kinds of fruit. She had more than 10 pieces of fruit in all.

How many pieces of fruit did each person buy?

This can be turned in by Friday for 5 points extra credit.  I will post the answer on Sunday with the new weeks information.  Good Luck!

I have created this site so that both students and parents can come together and keep up to date with the exciting things happening this year.  I have put links for parents to keep up with homework and grades of their children and links for my students to find book lists and fun activities to do at home.
You will also find a "Teacher" section at the top of the page. Here I will share infromation about myself as well as ways to contact me if you have questions, concerns or would just like to schedule a time to stop by the classroom.
I hope you find the site helpful.  Thank you for stopping by.
